Do you read for your own personal growth in Christ likeness? Reading is essential for any Christian who wants to grow spiritually, who wants to have a Christian worldview, and who wants to stay current on issues surrounding the gospel throughout the globe.
Maybe you’re not ready to read a book on some spiritual issue, but you could devote 30 to 45 minutes a day to grab a few bites of information. Consider one or all of these websites and blogs that I read on a regular basis.
- ChristianPost (www.christianpost.com) is a Christian news website that contains daily articles by various authors. I read it daily to keep up with what’s going on in other denominations and around the world.
- Challies Dot Com (www.challies.com). This is the blog for Tim Challies who is a blogger, author and book reviewer. Tim posts an article every day that he has written that is interesting and spiritually edifying. In addition, he provides daily links to other articles that are of interest to Christians on other websites. On Fridays, hegives away books to someone who has registered for the drawing.
- The Resurgence (www.theresurgence.com) is a website for Christian leaders who serve denominations, para-church organizations or secular businesses. The Resurgence aims to train the heads, hearts, and hands of Christian leaders. This site is regularly updated with articles about everything from theology to physical fitness from a biblical worldview.
- The Gospel Coalition (www.thegospelcoalition.org) is a fellowship of evangelical churches deeply committed to renewing faith in the gospel of Christ and to reforming ministry practices to conform fully to the Scriptures. These evangelical churches come from a spectrum of denominational backgrounds. Resources on this website include: sermons, articles, book reviews, and videos of sermons and interviews. These resources will help you to grow in your understanding of the gospel and its practical implications in your life.
